New classification system in workholding

With the introduction of the 2025 catalog, an adjustment has been made to the sales structure of vises and clamping jaws. In addition to the popular Makro•Grip® 5-axis vise series, the base bodies are now also available individually, without pre-assembled clamping jaws. In return, the clamping jaw systems Avanti, Profilo and Vario•Tec will no longer be offered as complete vises, but only as separate pairs of clamping jaws. This also applies to the Makro•Grip® FS - the clamping jaws with continuous holding serration. Makro•4Grip - the clamping jaw system for machining cylindrical blanks - has always only been available as individually available clamping jaws.

Complete vises of the Avanti, Profilo, Vario•Tec and Makro•Grip® FS clamping jaw types will be sold as such for as long as they are in stock. Once they are sold out, the base body and clamping jaws are available separately.

Exceptions here will be the Night King (item no. 68120-77) and the two system size 46 vises (item no. 48040-46 / 48065-46), whose base bodies will not be sold separately, but which will continue to be offered as complete vises (item no. 68120-77 FS / 48040-46 FS / 48065-46 FS).

In the following overview, we compare the previous item numbers of the complete vises with the future individual numbers (base body + clamping jaws).
