The automation gripper of the RoboTrex Compact automation system has the task of transporting Makro•Grip® Micro 5-axis vises from the storage magazine to the machine tool and returning them after the machining process. In this special version of the system, workpieces with a maximum weight of 7 kg can be transported. The gripper is equipped with a pneumatic interface that enables it to open the zero point clamping system in the machine tool. This happens both when the vises are set down before machining and when the vises are picked up at the end of the machining cycle. In this way, the entire process is carried out automatically and efficiently.
